We are proud to announce the winner of our 2023 Season Finale Giveaway - Robert Haines of Burlington! Robert was randomly selected amongst hundreds of concertgoers who participated during the SEISO Season Finale, April 22-23, 2023.

In the Spring the Mount Pleasant community was devastated by the news that Iowa Wesleyan University will shut down in May of 2023. This prompted a variety of news stories and coverage about SEISO’s uncertain future with the university, which it has called home for 72 years.

The Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra and the Southeast Iowa Band, two premiere regional music ensembles based at Iowa Wesleyan University, are seeking talented musicians interested in performing.

Dallas Brass trumpet, Buddy Deshler, joins the Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra for an impressive and inspiring set. Also featured is John Flannery, a junior of Washington Iowa, as the 2019 Marilyn Minford McCoid Young Artist Competition Winner.

The Ottumwa Chapter of SEISO is proud to announce the recipients of the 2nd Annual Concert for a Cause: the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Music Boosters, the Fairfield Music Boosters, and the Ottumwa Community School District Symphony Program. In addition to private donations, the Southeast Iowa Symphony will donate 75% of all door ticket sales...

The Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra will hold a season kickoff event on Friday, September 8th, from 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM at the Market on Main in Ottumwa. The event will serve as an opportunity to announce this year’s concert season schedule and guest artists while introducing new area residents to the orchestra.
