"I want to say THANK YOU to all of you for making our 66th season something to remember----and to ask for your continued support into the future. Our 66th season was special and capped off by the World Premiere of The Bells by Robert Tindle-Composer. YOUR orchestra is one of the lynch pins of musical performing arts in SE Iowa.
This year we provided at least one performing opportunity for over 400 musicians in our region---from massed choirs to youth string orchestras to chamber orchestra to full orchestra. All opportunities supported by YOU.
-SEISO is launching a fund drive to endow the 2nd Oboe Chair in the name of Denise Morton, our principal Oboist who, sadly and suddenly, passed away last fall.
-Look for our 67th season brochure sometime in early June announcing our new season---among the highlights are the return of Spencer Myer as guest pianist and a POPS program featuring the movie music of John Williams.
SO----I will look forward to seeing you next season starting with our Summer Blast concert in Burlington's Crapo Park on Saturday, July 8th at 8:15 PM."
