Artists-in-Residence - Aleron Trio - March 19 - 25, 2012. Violinist Solenn Seguillon, Cellist Anne Suda and Pianist Teresa Yu will spend one week teaching and performing for hundreds of students and adults throughout the region. The Artist-in-Residence program has been one of SEISO's most popular and effective educational activities.
Ruth Keraus Youth String Festival - November 10, 2011 All string students in grades 5 through 12 are invited to participate in the one-day festival. Students are divided into 4 orchestras (5th grade, 6th grade, junior high and high school), and spend the day rehearsing with a professional orchestra conductor. The festival ends with a concert in the chapel at 3:30 PM. It is open to the public and free of charge for everyone.
School Tour Concerts - March 21, 2012 Each year the SEISO performs two concerts especially for school children - this season for students in the Burlington area. For most children, this will be the first time they experience a live symphony orchestra.
Program Notes and “Prelude” The SEISO enriches the concert experience for all its patrons with program notes written by professional musicians and the Maestro's pre-concert talks.
